Mr. Ormond has experience in all aspects of trial practice, including summary judgment and discovery hearings, depositions, settlement negotiations, and trials. Mr. Ormond has been practicing law since 2002. Before joining MGS in 2011, Mr. Ormond worked for two law firms in Dallas, where he focused on complex business litigation. Mr. Ormond also worked as a prosecutor in Texas, trying numerous cases to judges and juries.
Mr. Ormond has defended a wide variety of businesses during his career, from individuals and small businesses to Fortune 500 companies. He has represented railroad companies, equipment manufacturers, drug companies, food distributors, oil and gas companies, law firms, chemical companies, and many other types of businesses. Mr. Ormond has handled all types of commercial litigation, including breach of contract, breach of fiduciary duty, fraudulent or negligent misrepresentation, quasi-contractual or equitable claims, and other disputes arising from all kinds of transactions. He has also defended companies against a variety of product and premise liability claims.
Mr. Ormond grew up in Greenville, North Carolina, and graduated with honors from Wake Forest University. After getting his law degree from the University of Michigan in 2002, he began his legal career in Dallas, Texas.
